Zap skimboards are made to be light, yet engineered to withstand substantial torque. Each board is  unique, made with a foam-core center and wrapped with a fiberglass skin. Zap has developed an  exclusive manufacturing process they call "composite construction". All boards are compression  molded in a single lay-up procedure to insure a maximum strength-to-weight composite. The result  is an extremely durable product with performance second to none.

Lazer
The Zap Lazer is a great board for anyone who is just getting into the sand skimming aspect of the sport. It is designed to be lightweight and easy to handle with the beginner in mind. It is also a great way to get out and start skimboarding on a limited budget. Its wide shape and flat rocker design makes it a fast sliding board that is tons of fun to ride on thin water. The Lazer comes in one size and is recommended for riders under 115 pounds.

Wedge
Before you can start wrapping and/or riding waves, you need the right board. Rounded ones, like the Bat and Bullet, simply won't do the job. You need something shaped a bit more like a surfboard. If you weigh between 75 and 120 lbs the perfect place to begin is with the Zap Wedge.Thicker core, hard rails, and surf style pintail make this a great entry level wave riding skimboard. Available with a textured deck in assorted colors.

So you're ready to start wrapping and/or riding waves, but you need a board. Care & Usage:
Wax the deck of your board with a bar of surfboard wax to insure proper traction. Scratches on the bottom of the board are normal due to the abrasion of sand and shells at various beaches. They do not have to be repaired unless the fiberglass has been punctured. Any scratches that have exposed the foam core or have the potential to must be repaired immediately. Any dings, cracks, deep scratches, or damages to the fiberglass must be repaired immediately with polyester resin & fiberglass.
 
 
Warranty:
Zap will repair or replace any skimboard which proves to be defective due to materials or workmanship for a period of 60 days. Any return must first be authorized, properly packaged and sent with a letter of explanation with a copy of receipt. Call for assistance to discuss any problems. Zap will not warrant against normal wear or abuse of boards improperly used, cared for or not kept in good repair. Normal use includes: dings, scratches, worn bottom gelcoat, and breakage.
